History of the Sabbath and First Day of the Week Classic Reprint John Nevins Andrews 9780243289301 Books Reviews
The complete record of Christian 7th Day Sabbath keeping, from the earliest Church Age till modern times. A time tested doctrine, with over 100 languages throughout the world refering to Saturday as literally Sabbath. Excellent Biblical and historical references to the 1st century Church keeping the day refered to in the Ten Commandments as the "seventh day". Also documents the gradual traditional transfer of Sabbath keeping, to worshiping on Sunday. A classic on the subject.
This book are amazing but, not this edition because are incomplete, the original book have 30 chapters, this only have 11. I don't recommend this publication at all.
How sad that some folks choose a day that God did not bless....the Sabbath of the Lord is Saturday, not Sunday as chosen by the Catholic Church as the Lord's Day.
great book
Considering the time in history when this was written, it has an incredible amount of research. This does a good job of documenting the evolution of the church in the generations following the death of the Apostles.
